AT CONCORA’S “RITE OF SWING III” FUNDRAISER

A Stylish Evening of Dinner & Dancing to Support Connecticut’s Best-Loved Choral Ensemble

Hartford, CT, February 9, 2012 ― CONCORA, Connecticut’s premier professional choir, invites fun-lovers to a night of dancing, dinner, live jazz and more at the third annual Rite of Swing III, which takes place on Saturday, March 31, 2012 at Farmington Gardens in Farmington, Connceticut. The evening begins at 6:00 PM with cocktails and delectable hors d’oeuvres, followed by a delicious seated dinner, and continues with dancing until 11:00 PM to the sounds of the Hot Cat Jazz Band, one of New England’s most popular dance bands.

Attendees will also have a chance to bid on an enticing array of treasures at what has been called “the best silent auction in the region.” The celebrity host and auctioneer is radio personality and arts champion Ginny Wolf of “Spotlight on Connecticut.” All proceeds from this event support CONCORA’s artistic programming and educational programs throughout Connecticut.

“A memorable evening is in store,” promised Marlys Austin, Vice President of Development for CONCORA’s Board of Directors, and Chair of the Rite of Swing Gala Committee. “We hope to greet many friends, old and new, for a wonderful evening of music, dancing, and camaraderie, all in support of one of the region’s finest performing arts ensembles.”

Tickets for CONCORA’s Rite of Swing III range from $80-$150. Early-bird single tickets are $85 until March 1; after that date, single tickets are $100. VIP tickets (includes complimentary champagne and program listing) are $150 at any time. Tables of 10 are available for $800 at any time. The deadline for all reservations is March 25, 2012. A portion of each ticket price is tax-deductible. Contact CONCORA at 860-293-0567, contact@concora.org, or visit www.concora.org for tickets and information.
